Beaches

Where to begin. What an embarrassment of riches. My favourite beaches are on the Northwest coast (of course :). Snow white and calm waters Below are some of these beaches and at the bottom of the list a few beaches in the south.

  1. Playa Kalki: A small, secluded beach located on the far northwest coast of the island. The beach features soft white sand, clear waters, and an impressive coral reef that is perfect for snorkeling and diving. They have built a wonderful restaurant on the beach and it is close to Cliff Villa and the Beautiful Curacao HQ.

  2. Playa Gipy: A remote hidden picnic beach located on the rugged northwestern coast of the island. This beach is known for its beautiful turquoise waters and stunning rocky cliffs. It's not the easiest beach to access, but the scenery is definitely worth the effort.

  3. Playa Forti: A small beach located on the northwest coast of the island, near the village of Westpunt. The beach features crystal clear waters and a large rock cliff - Jumping is key to the fun. There is also a local restaurant nearby that serves delicious seafood.

  4. Playa Grandi: better known as Playa Piskado (Fisher Beach), is a small beach located on the northwest coast of the island. This beach is unique because it is a popular spot for local fishermen to bring in their catch of the day, and visitors can watch as they unload their fresh seafood. The beach is also a great spot for snorkeling with the Turtles that swim in for the fish offal.

  5. Playa Kenepa Chiki: A small, secluded beach located just down the coast from Kenepa Beach. This beach is less crowded than its larger neighbour, but still offers soft white sand and crystal clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

  6. Kenepa Beach: This white beach is often considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Curacao. The beach is surrounded by lush hills and features soft white sand and turquoise waters that are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. There are also plenty of facilities on-site, including restrooms, showers, and a snack bar.

  7. Playa Lagun: A small, secluded beach nestled in a cove on the west side of the island. The beach is known for its calm waters, which are perfect for snorkeling and diving. There are also a few local restaurants nearby that serve fresh seafood.

  8. Cas Abao Beach: A popular spot for both locals and tourists. The beach is located on the northwest coast of the island and features soft white sand, crystal clear waters, and plenty of palm trees for shade. There are also several restaurants and bars on-site, as well as rental facilities for watersports equipment.

  9. Porto Mari Beach: A long, wide beach located on the southwest coast of the island. The beach features soft white sand, clear waters, and an impressive coral reef that is perfect for snorkeling and diving. There are also several restaurants and bars on-site, as well as rental facilities for beach chairs, umbrellas, and other equipment.

  10. Blue Bay Beach: A popular beach located on the south coast of the island. The beach features soft white sand, clear waters, and plenty of palm trees for shade. There are also several restaurants and bars on-site, as well as rental facilities for watersports equipment.
